Vaisnava Policy to be a Dog of Vaisnava

Published January 5, 2012 by srilaprabhupadavaniseva

So this is Vaisnava’s policy. Vaisnava thakura, tomara kukkura, baliya janaha more. Bhaktivinoda Thakura has sung, “My dear vaisnava thakura, you just accept me as your dog, as the dog works by the indication of the master.” He will give his life. Dog has a good qualification. However a strong dog may be, when the master orders, he will give his life. This is dog, faithful, so faithful to the master. So vaisnava thakura… So Bhaktivinoda Thakura is praying, vaisnava thakura, tomara kukkura, baliya janaha more: “My dear vaisnava thakura…” Vaisnava thakura means guru. “Kindly accept me as your dog.” And he describes, I forget the exact language, that “I will always try to protect you. As dog keeps watch, so I will watch so nobody can come to disturb you. And whatever little prasadam you’ll give me, I’ll be satisfied.” That dog’s qualification. The master is eating, but the dog will never come, unless the master gives little morsel. He is satisfied. He is satisfied.

Vaisnava thakura means guru

Published January 4, 2012 by srilaprabhupadavaniseva

Bhaktivinoda Thakura has sung, vaisnava thakura, tomara kukkura, boliya janaha more:  “My dear Vaisnava Thakura, kindly accept me as your dog. I am a dog already, but I am maya’s dog. I’m not a Vaisnava’s dog. So kindly accept me.” If we do not become a dog of Nityananda Prabhu, a Vaisnava, or a guru, there is no question of happiness. Nitai na bolilo mukhe, majila samsara-sukhe. One who has no connection with Nityananda Prabhu and who does not say, “Jaya Nitai! Jaya Gaura!” becomes absorbed in material enjoyment. Majilo samsara-sukhe means to think, “Society, friendship, and  love, divinely bestowed upon man.” Materialist persons say like that. In samsara, material existence of repeated birth and death, there cannot be sukha, happiness. But the materialist is attracted by material existence.

Vidya kule ki koribe tar. What help will a university education or birth in a big family be? These will not help. Why are we accepting these false solutions?

Ahankare matta hoiya, nitai-pada pasariya, asatyere satya kori mani. Misled by false prestige and false ego, we are accepting the body, which will not exist. We have taken the body as reality. But if we take shelter of Nityananda Prabhu, we’ll get enlightenment.

“O Vaisnava Thakura…” All Vaisnavas are thakura. They are not ordinary persons. Thakura… We therefore address: Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur. So Vaisnava Prahlada Thakura. So we should always pray, vaisnava thakura, tomara kukkura boliya janaha more. This is There is a song of Bhaktivinoda Thakura: “My dear Vaisnava Thakura, kindly accept me as your dog.” Vaisnava Thakura. As the dog, by the indication of the master, does everything very obedient, we have to learn this lesson from the dog, how to become faithful to the master. That is the instruction. In everything you can learn something. Everyone Therefore maha-bhagavata, they accept everyone as guru, to learn something. Actually, from the dog we can learn this art, how to become faithful at the risk of life even. There are many instances, dog have given the life for the master. So, and we should be dog to the Vaisnava. Chadiya vaisnava-seva, nistara payeche keba”.

O venerable Vaisnava, O ocean of mercy, be merciful unto your servant. Give me the shade of your lotus feet and purify me. I hold on to your lotus feet.

(2)

chaya bega domi’, chaya dosa sodhi’,
chaya guna deho’ dase

tumi krpa kori’, sraddha-bindu diya,

I do not find the strength to carry on alone the sankirtana of the holy name of Hari. Please bless me by giving me just one drop of faith with which to obtain the great treasure of the holy name of Krsna.

(4)

krsna se tomara, krsna dite paro,
tomara sakati ache
ami to’ kangala, ‘krsna’ ‘krsna’ boli’,
dhai tava pache pache

Krsna is yours; you have the power to give Him to me. I am simply running behind you shouting, “Krsna! Krsna!”

*The six passions are those pertaining to words, the mind, anger, the tongue, the stomach and the genitals. The six faults are overeating, attachment to material things, inability to follow regulative principles, sense gratification, useless idle talk, and impure habits. The six positive qualities are enthusiasm in practicing devotional service, firm faith in devotional processes, a strong desire to attain prema-bhakti, a favorable service attitude, avoidance of non-devotees, and appreciation of the company of devotees. The six methods of association are to go to an assembly of devotees, to invite devotees into one’s home, to discuss and hear devotional topics, to take the maha-prasada of devotees and to offer maha-prasada to devotees.

Homeage to Srila Prabhupada

HDG  Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Thakura Prabhupada!!!

“The most Magnificent Personality an epitome of Compassion”

“The Krsna’s choicest Blessing to the All the Living entities”

Our heart felt greatfulness to HH. Jaypataka Swami for this revelation about a more exalted form of address to our most beloved  Srila Bhaktivedanta Thakura  Prabhupada!!!

” Originally your disciples casually addressed you as “Swamiji,” but you advised them that this wasn’t an appropriate way to address the spiritual master. When Your Divine Grace was asked what was appropriate, master you advised them that “Srila Prabhupada” was a proper address, along with other names. Thus your disciples began to address you as Srila Prabhupada. Later we asked if we could address you as “Thakura,” as we do for Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura or Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. You replied that this was not proper during your lifetime. Now that your aprakata-lila (unmanifested pastimes) are going on, it seems appropriate to now address Your Divine Grace as Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Thakura or Srila Bhaktivedanta Thakura. You are truly an exalted Vaisnava and worthy of being honored as a Thakura.

In your presence some members of the Gaudiya Math complained about us, your disciples, addressing you as Srila Prabhupada, since they had been addressing Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura exclusively as Srila Prabhupada. Your Divine Grace later instructed us that the name Srila Prabhupada couldn’t be limited to one person. It is a general name for any exalted spiritual master who achieves great preaching results. Your Divine Grace also mentioned how in Navadvipa so many local Gosais are addressed as “Prabhupada,” since it is one of the names for spiritual master.

From all these exchanges we can understand that the honorific Thakura is more exalted than Srila Prabhupada, and therefore you deserve this more exalted form of address. You are truly a glorious representative of the previous acaryas and have manifested their will in this world. All glories to Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Thakura!!

May all of Your Divine Grace’s spiritual grandchildren and future followers experience a close and direct relationship with you. In ISKCON we want to achieve a stage in which everyone feels a real and vital connection with Your Divine Grace through your books, your teachings, remembrance of you, and the transcendental help your representative spiritual masters and other Vaisnavas are giving them. May everyone feel Your Divine Grace’s mercy coming down to him or her through their devotional service! Since you are a pure representative of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Vyasadeva, in this way everyone will also feel closely connected with Lord Krsna”.
